Nba Draft Prop Bets 2019
2020 NBA Draft: Best Prop Bets for Draft Night. By Vaughn Dalzell November 5, 2020. In the 2019 NBA Draft, four of the five top picks were freshman and seven of the top 10. This year’s class has a little more depth with overseas talent as well as an upperclassman, but one thing for sure, March Madness derailed some of the draft talents. The 2019 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching and Odds Shark's Gilles Gallant breaks down his three favorite prop bets for the draft like how many running backs will.
Ricky Rubio was the Most Valuable Player of the 2019 FIBA World Cup, and in a couple of weeks he will report to the Phoenix Suns for the first time after leaving the Utah Jazz as a free agent.
Following his shining performance in China, it got us thinking: what are the chances he will lead the NBA in assists this year? Russell Westbrook would tell you “zero,” but if you are a bettor in the legal US sports gambling market, you might say to Westbrook: “I’ll take my chances.”
NBA season player props you can bet on
Highest assist average*
Player | Odds | 2018-19 Avg (Rank) |
---|---|---|
Russell Westbrook (HOU) | +300 | 10.7 (1st) |
Trae Young (ATL) | +350 | 8.1 (4th) |
Chris Paul (OKC) | +600 | 8.2 (3rd) |
Ben Simmons (PHI) | +700 | 7.7 (6th) |
Kyle Lowry (TOR) | +1000 | 8.7 (2nd) |
Rubio is +3400 to lead the league in assists at FanDuel Sportsbook, which is being aggressive in posting individual player props for the upcoming 2019-20 NBA season. Anybody who watched the FIBA World Cup closely would tell you that is not entirely out of the question, what with DeAndre Ayton and Devin Booker set to be on the receiving end of many of Rubio’s passes.
Westbrook is the favorite at +300, and Malcolm Brogdon, who left the Milwaukee Bucks to sign with Indiana as a free agent, is on the board at +10000 — a shade above Giannis Antetokounmpo’s +9500.
And that is just assists. There’s so much more.
Highest blocks average*
Player | Odds | 2018-19 Avg (Rank) |
---|---|---|
Mitchell Robinson (NYK) | +150 | 2.4 (2nd) |
Myles Turner (IND) | +290 | 2.7 (1st) |
Rudy Gobert (UTA) | +360 | 2.3 (3rd) |
Anthony Davis (LAL) | +410 | 2.4 (DNQ) |
Hassan Whiteside (POR) | +1100 | 1.9 (7th) |
Nba Draft Prop Bets 2019
Rudy Gobert is the two-time reigning Defensive Player of the Year, mainly for his shot-blocking prowess, and he is +360 (behind Mitchell Robinson of the Knicks and Myles Turner of the Pacers) to lead the league in that category this season. JaVale McGee of the Lakers, who was fifth in blocks last season, is +3400 to lead the league, and Hassan Whiteside, who will get another fresh start in Portland and figures to log heavy minutes with Jusuf Nurkic out, is on the board at an enticing +1100. In the category of +10000 players, we have Draymond Green and Montrezl Harrell, who will both play larger roles this season for their respective teams.
Highest rebounds average*
Player | Odds | 2018-19 Avg (Rank) |
---|---|---|
Andre Drummond (DET) | -220 | 15.6 (1st) |
Joel Embiid (PHI) | +800 | 13.6 (2nd) |
G. Antetokounmpo (MIL) | +1100 | 12.5 (6th) |
Hassan Whiteside (POR) | +1200 | 11.3 (9th) |
Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN) | +1300 | 12.4 (7th) |
Rudy Gobert (UTA) | +1300 | 12.9 (4th) |
Andre Drummond is at -220 to lead the league in rebounds, for obvious reasons. Of the eight players who averaged at least a dozen boards last season, the most enticing odds belong to Clint Capela and Nikola Vucevic at +3400 — which is also the line for Enes Kanter, who will be starting for the Celtics. But bet against Drummond at your own peril. Dude is a monster.
Highest scoring average*
Player | Odds | 2018-19 Avg (Rank) |
---|---|---|
James Harden (HOU) | -105 | 36.1 (1st) |
Stephen Curry (GS) | +300 | 27.3 (5th) |
G. Antetokounmpo (MIL) | +700 | 27.7 (3rd) |
Anthony Davis (LAL) | +950 | 25.9 (DNQ) |
Bradley Beal (WAS) | +1600 | 25.6 (11th) |
Devin Booker (PHX) | +1600 | 26.6 (7th) |
Joel Embiid (PHI) | +1600 | 27.5 (4th) |
James Harden is -105 to win the scoring title for obvious reasons (he averaged 36.1 last season), although he has to learn how to play with Westbrook, who has been known to take 20 to 30 shots per game. If those two eat into each other’s scoring average, a couple of flyer picks are Jimmy Butler of Miami at +9500, and Trae Young of Atlanta (averaged 23.4 ppg in March and April) at +10000.
Most Valuable Player
Player | Odds | 2018-19 Place |
---|---|---|
G. Antetokounmpo (MIL) | +270 | 1st |
Stephen Curry (GS) | +500 | 5th |
James Harden (HOU) | +750 | 2nd |
LeBron James (LAL) | +850 | 12th |
Anthony Davis (LAL) | +900 | DNQ |
Kawhi Leonard (LAC) | +900 | 9th |
Nba Draft Prop Bets 2019 Nfl
Most Valuable Player prop bets are on the board at both DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel, and Antetokounmpo, Curry, James, Harden and Davis are the favorites. We will take a closer look at that race in an upcoming column, but Utah’s Donovan Mitchell, who was the most consistent player for Team USA in China, is +8000 at FanDuel.
Rookie of the Year
Player | Odds | Draft Pick |
---|---|---|
Zion Williamson (NO) | -150 | No. 1 |
Ja Morant (MEM) | +400 | No. 2 |
RJ Barrett (NYK) | +450 | No. 3 |
Darius Garland (CLE) | +1400 | No. 5 |
Michael Porter (DEN) | +1400 | No. 14 (2018) |
For Rookie of the Year, Zion Williamson is the prohibitive favorite (-150 at FD), with RJ Barrett and Ja Morant the second and third choices — both in the neighborhood of 4-1.
Sixth Man of the Year
Player | Odds | 2018-19 Place |
---|---|---|
Lou Williams (LAC) | +170 | 1st |
Spencer Dinwiddie (BKN) | +700 | 4th |
Montrezl Harrell (LAC) | +950 | 3rd |
Terrence Ross (ORL) | +950 | 5th |
Eric Gordon (HOU) | +1400 | DNQ |
Jerami Grant (DEN) | +1400 | DNQ |
For Sixth Man, the two-time defending champion Lou Williams is +170, with Spencer Dinwiddie of the Brooklyn Nets an interesting choice at +700 (he will be backing up Kyrie Irving this season, but also playing alongside him).
Defensive Player of the Year
Player | Odds | 2018-19 Place |
---|---|---|
Rudy Gobert (UTA) | +155 | 1st |
G. Antetokounmpo (MIL) | +420 | 2nd |
Paul George (LAC) | +500 | 3rd |
Anthony Davis (LAL) | +1100 | DNQ |
Joel Embiid (PHI) | +1100 | 4th |
Paul George is an interesting prop bet at +500 for Defensive Player of the Year, with Gobert the favorite at +155 and Giannis the second choice at +420.
Props to FanDuel for having all of these prop bets up a couple weeks before training camp opens. Good luck with your wagers!
